Overview

Our Engagement Operations team is seeking a talented and skilled professional to join our team as an Engagement Operations Specialist.  This role will provide centralized services and support to various engagement teams. This role will partner with the Tax service line and technology teams to focus on driving efficiency, quality, and margin optimization in the delivery of the Firm's services to their clients.. We are targeting for this role to be hybrid and open to this position being in any of our following offices: Baltimore, MD; St. Clair Shores, MI; Cleveland, Akron, Youngstown, OH; Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, PA.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of engagement letters
  • Processing, formatting, and finalizing electronic engagement letters and correspondence utilizing DocuSign
  • Power of Attorney preparation and finalization
  • Electronic collating and processing of tax returns using Adobe Acrobat for Client Copies, Govt. Filing copies, and sending eFile Authorization forms using DocuSign
  • E-filing tax returns
  • 1099 preparation and e-filing
  • Preparation and e-filing of extensions
  • SurePrep binder creation, source document uploads, and binder finalization
  • Processing and distributing Organizers and Questionnaires for 1040 Individual clients
  • Project support and assistance to service line and technology team
  • Electronic document management and tracking
  • Work on projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree or 1 - 3 years' experience — administration background, payroll background, quality assurance and/or education, includes internship experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Proficient in Salesforce or other CRMs
  • Detailed oriented with the ability to manage the day-to-day process/workflow independently and/or with a team. Meet projects expectations and deadlines with the direction of the manager
  • Analytical, and problem-solving skillset
  • Understand Client deadlines and related expectations and manage accordingly, involving manager as needed
  • Ability to stay focused in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels at the firm
  • Takes responsibility for researching best practices and continued learning
  • Ability to learn in a hybrid setting, including virtual trainings
  • Overtime may be required during peak times of the year, including some evenings and Saturdays
