We are excited for the future and our continued growth! Our Technology Services team is seeking a talented individual in the role of End User Technologies Specialist. This position will reside in our Buffalo, NY office.

 

The End User Technologies Specialist will be a member of the Technology Services team working in a team-oriented environment supporting each of the firm’s service lines.  The End User Technologies Specialist will support and maintain all technologies used by Firm employees.  Regular activities of this role include deploying hardware, installing and configuring software, diagnosing and resolving trouble tickets, maintenance and repair of laptops and other equipment to ensure optimal performance of the Firm’s technology environment.  The ideal candidate will troubleshoot problem areas in a positive, timely, and accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance in a helpdesk role with various avenues of advancement within the Technology Services team.  You will engage in person and via IM, telephone, email, through screen sharing and other remote technologies.

 

Responsibilities

  • Resolve problems reported to the call center
  • Provide first-level contact and problem resolution to clients
  • Update and maintain documentation and knowledgebase articles
  • Deploy laptops as needed
  • Work with vendors as needed to resolve issues
  • Create instruction guides and provide training to end-users as appropriate
  • Travel to other nearby offices and potentially to out-of-state offices
  • Regular predictable and punctual attendance
    • 8:30 am to 5:30 pm are standard office hours
    • Evening and weekend coverage needed during peak seasons
    • On-call shifts and after-hours support as needed

Core Competencies

  • Web, internet, and general technology savvy
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite/Microsoft 365
  • Experience with LAN/WAN/wireless technologies and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of VPN fundamentals, mobile device management, and spam/virus filtering
  • Experience with VOIP phone system and collaboration tools (Cisco preferred)
  • Experience with scripting (PowerShell preferred)

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems or related field is preferred, or equivalent certification(s) with relevant work experience
  • 0-2 years of experience, internship experience included
  • Experience in a customer service environment is preferred
  • Microsoft or other IT certifications a plus

Estimated Salary Range:  $50,000-65,000
