Our Advisory Division work focuses on Valuation & Litigation Support Services, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Advisory, Transaction Services, and Management Consulting. Our Real Estate Advisory professionals work closely with a variety of clients in the real estate and construction space including developers, homebuilders, real estate property owners, property management companies, and residential and commercial construction companies. We are very excited about our growth opportunities and are seeking an individual with an entrepreneurial energy and commitment to client service to join our Real Estate Advisory team! We are open to this position being in any of the following markets: Cleveland, Akron, Youngstown, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Chicago and Baltimore (Virtual options in other markets will be considered). This job is not available for residents of Colorado or New York City.




  • Review financial models for excel formula accuracy and deal assumption accuracy
  • Assist in tax structuring related to the modeled deal
  • Assist with compliance testing requirements related to certain tax credit or economic incentive programs
  • Analyze product, market, and financial trends to help clients identify risks and opportunities for improvement
  • Drive discovery and analysis activities with client contacts
  • Manage the development of client-ready deliverables
  • Work with tax service team to ensure tax compliance
  • Participate in tax planning, including partnerships and LLC expertise
  • Deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders and clients
  • Maintain a personal, strategic relationship with clients and serve as the key individual when it comes to managing client expectations, retention and dispensing high-level advisory services
  • Confidently and effectively manage engagements, resources, people, and client expectations to achieve the results required to maintain profitable and lasting client relationships
  • Contribute to sales efforts by serving as Sales Lead on project opportunities with new clients


  • Accounting or Finance background, CPA preferred but not required
  • At least 7 years of experience in real estate modeling
  • Experience in underwriting real estate deals
  • Advanced excel skills required
  • Prior experience managing a financial modeling team required
  • Knowledge of income taxation of real estate transactions a plus
  • Knowledge of Qualified Opportunity Funds and Qualified Opportunity Zone Businesses a plus
  • Knowledge in modeling tax credit transactions (New Markets Tax Credits, Historic Tax Credits, Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, Renewable Energy Tax Credits) a plus
  • Knowledge of other Economic Development incentives a plus
  • Knowledge of debt and preferred equity structures and underwriting a plus.
